LEOSA provides a unique and informative educational program for all ages. Our drug awareness program has been developed to be an extreme eye-opening experience intended to influence our youth to make an educated choice not to fall into the snares of substance abuse.
LEOSA’s program is brought to you by sworn law enforcement professionals who are certified and trained as instructors through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and other credible institutions (IPTM and the like). Our drug awareness programs are geared towards our middle school and high school aged youths, parents, and teachers with the goal to educate everyone and help prevent drug abuse.
The program addresses the “That won’t happen to me” mentality, the seven categories of drugs, the short term effects of drug use on the body, the long term effects of drug use on the body, and new drug trends. The program utilizes true life stories to explain the damage drug abuse can cause not only to the person using the drug but to the family of the substance abuser.
This program has been approved by the Brevard County school system and the support of numerous members of the Brevard County School Board.
Our program is offered for free to schools, civic groups, organizations, home owners associations, and churches. Our mission is to educate in the hopes to prevent drug abuse.
